A lot of things have come out of the devastating 2019 Camp Fire. One of those things being the beautiful book “My Name is Haley and I Live in Paradise.” Author and illustrator, Steve Ferchaud, tells the story of a girl named Haley and her adventures before and after the fire. Through this book, Ferchaud, a Camp Fire survivor himself, portrays how strong and resilient the community of Paradise is.

This Saturday, August 15th, the Youth on the Ridge Community Foundation/ Paradise Chocolate Fest is hosting a book signing where you can meet the author and the young girl who inspired the main character “Haley”.
