Outdoor Education for All is pleased to introduce our newly appointed Recreation Coordinator, Ms. Taylor Guy. Taylor is a Chico State Alumni with her Bachelors's and Master’s in Kinesiology with an extensive background in Adapted Physical Education. During her time at CSU Chico, Taylor worked as a clinician at the Chico State Autism Clinic and as well as in other programs. She strives to make all of our programs inclusive to individuals of all abilities, truly making Outdoor Education for ALL.
One of the key skill sets that Taylor brings to OEFA was honed during her time as the Program Coordinator at KIDSPLAY(hosted at Chico Sports Club). She has the ability to look at situations from an “All Inclusive” point of view. She can adapt almost any activity to suite those with physical and or mental disabilities. Recognizing that Butte County, and especially the Ridge, has been undeserved for individuals with disabilities, Taylor is passionate about educating the public in the need for inclusive trails, adventure skill acquisition opportunities, and ultimately in leadership roles that will define the Ridge for decades to come.
If you or someone you know is interested in getting involved with OEFA in the Adapted Outdoor Education field, please reach out to Taylor to welcome her to our team and to suggest collaborative opportunities. Taylor can be reached at tguy@paradiseprpd.com
